Are bathhouse and sauna memberships worth it? Every Sydney option, by price per visit
Weekly prices look small until you add them up. We converted every Sydney membership to a monthly figure and worked out what each visit really costs.

A membership only pays off if you use it. The trick is to compare memberships by what a single visit costs, not by the weekly price on the sign-up page.
How to read the numbers
Most Sydney memberships are billed weekly. A month has about 4.3 weeks, so a $40 weekly membership is about $173 a month. The Soak List's memberships page converts every price to a monthly figure so they line up; the table below goes one step further and divides by the visits included.

Per-visit figures assume you use every included visit. Prices were checked on each venue's own site in September 2026.
When a membership beats casual
Compare the per-visit figure with the casual price for the same session. Capybara's off-peak session is $65 casual and about $33 on the Ritual membership. Soak's 90-minute session is $59.95 off-peak casual and $39.95 on the weekly membership. If you would go at least three times a month, both come out ahead.
When it does not
Unlimited memberships only make sense if you go often. XtraClubs' Flow is cheap enough that three visits a month already beat the $39 casual price, but Wildfire Wellness' unlimited infrared membership at $119 a week needs about three visits a week to beat its casual price.
Read the fine print
Before signing, check the minimum term (City Cave and True Float ask for three months, Capybara for twelve weeks), which sessions are included (off-peak only is common), and whether the price is a promotion. XtraClubs' Elevate tier and Prime Recovery's memberships were both marked as sale or limited-time prices when we checked.

The cheapest way in: $19.95 a week. Flow covers unlimited off-peak 70-minute sessions across all four XtraClubs, about $86 a month.

A single session is 90 minutes. Memberships on a 28-day rolling term cover unlimited off-peak visits, packs work at any XtraClubs, and there is free parking nearby.

Sessions are 90 minutes, cheapest on weekdays before 5pm, with quiet weekend mornings and facilitator-guided sessions. Five-pass packs and weekly memberships are available; towels and robes are for hire.

Bathhouse on the Pacific Highway in Chatswood with a hot mineral pool, a sauna, a 44°C steam room and cold plunges, plus the Placebo Bar for non-alcoholic drinks, coffee and snacks. Sessions run 60, 90 or 120 minutes, with cheaper early-bird hours from 7 to 9am. Closed Mondays. Walk-ins are taken when space allows, and a weekly membership covers three sessions.
