The Soak List is a directory of venues. You can use it without an account and without telling us anything about yourself.

What we collect

Only what you type into one of our forms: claiming a listing, reporting a wrong price, or suggesting a venue. That is your name, email address, and, if you give them, your phone number, your role at a venue and your message.

We also count page views and clicks on venue links, to learn which pages are useful. That counting uses no cookies, does not identify you, and is switched off if your browser sends Do Not Track.

Why

To check your claim or report, to reply to you, and to keep listings accurate. If you claim a listing for a business, we may also contact you about services that help venues be found online. We do not sell your details and we do not use them for advertising.

Where it is kept

In a database hosted in Sydney. Only the people who run The Soak List can see it. Forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks you are not a bot.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, by emailing hello@thesoaklist.com.au. We handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles.
